Our Heartbeat and Passion
Our heartbeat and passion at Cornerstone International (CI) is transformational missions. It’s what we wake up every morning thinking about and what we put all of our time and energy into each day. But, what exactly does transformational missions mean?
We believe that transformational missions happens at the intersection of worship, prayer and care. The transformation that takes place isn’t simply happening “over there,” on the mission field, but in each of our hearts as we seek to live out both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. In other words, holistic transformation on the mission field (in all areas of life) takes place to the degree that it is happening in each of us. That’s why we take the preparing, training and caring for our missionaries around the world so seriously. You can’t share and live out what you don’t possess. And so, we desire to possess—both in us and for our mission workers—the kind of intimate, daily presence with the Lord that He is desiring for each of us.
This then leads to the other byproduct of transformation—healthy missions. In fact, we believe that:
healthy missionaries = healthy missions
You won’t have one without the other. When you give towards the mission work of CI, you are cultivating the important work of healthy missions around the world. You are investing in the forming of healthy missionaries so that, in turn, they are partnering with Jesus in bringing the kind of Kingdom life He promised to thousands around the world.
