Dan and Elaine lancaster

THE FOLLOW JESUS PROJECT | MYANMAR & GLOBAL

Dan Lancaster (PhD) and his wife, Holli, began serving internationally in Southeast Asia in 2003. They served with their four children in Myanmar and Thailand for twelve years. During his time in Myanmar, Dan and his national partner, Gilbert, developed Follow Jesus Training — a discipleship, leadership, and church planting program designed for semi-literate and non-literate people. This training has led thousands to Christ and facilitated the creation of countless discipleship groups and house churches worldwide.

The Lancasters returned to America in 2015, where Dan began to serve as Assistant Vice President for University Ministries at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. Tragically, ten months later, Dan lost Holli to ovarian cancer. In 2017, he returned to international missions with Love for Myanmar. He joined the Cornerstone International team in 2019 as Director of Coaching.

After seven years of loneliness and loss, Dan married Elaine Batson Payne in 2023. He is thankful to God for giving him another soulmate who is as committed to missions as he is. Dan is also a best-selling author, known for “Powerful Prayers in the War Room” and other books on practical discipleship and Christian living. He also writes Christian children’s books.
