Bereket and Abigail Geleta

The Geletas are a part of a church planting team in Nairobi, and moved to Kenya in mid-2024. Abby grew up in Kentucky with a heart for long-term missions from a very young age, and moved to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as a full-time missionary in 2022. Bereket grew up in Ethiopia and, after God transformed his life as a young adult, began serving in a ministry called Youth With A Mission, where he and Abby first met. They got married at the beginning of 2023, and had their first daughter, Eellana, a year later. God began speaking to them about beginning ministry as a whole family, and opened the doors to be a part of planting a healthy, Gospel-centered church in Nairobi, Kenya. The new church is part of Sovereign Grace Churches, and is planted out of their home church in Ethiopia. They share a vision with their team: to see the gospel preached and spread all over Kenya and the entire continent of Africa. They also desire to be very involved in the community that God is calling them to, and especially connect with the younger generation, such as university students in Nairobi.
