THOMAS – PANAMA | PANAMA
Stephen grew up as a missionary kid in Costa Rica. His call to missions came at the young age of 15. During his time in College, God narrowed that calling down to work with children in need, and to replicate the work his parents had been doing in Costa Rica. In 2011, he met Kendra in South Texas. Kendra also had a strong calling to missions. In 2016, when they married, she joined him on the mission field.
Stephen and Kendra have previously served at the Abraham Project in Costa Rica. However, in October 2019, they made the move to Panama to begin creating a network of people to help them in their endeavors. They will have children’s homes that house children from 1 to 2 years. While the kids are in the program, their parents or legal guardians will be required to partake in classes and trainings on how to parent in a God-honoring way. With this Gospel-based model, they hope to restore the family unit and give the children a safe haven to return to once they leave the program.
They are excited to start the work and to continue reaching the families of Panama.
